The lack of integration between the different industries reduces the production rates.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; color: #000000;\">Lack of interest in the technological updates of the machinery and equipment.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; color: #000000;\">Most industries depend on the updates provided from abroad while there are thousands of inventors who market their inventions abroad and it is the main problem of the manufacturing and extractive industries which is some industries resort to external experiences while the local ones market these experiences abroad.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; color: #000000;\">Counterfeiting and Smuggling where the &#8220;illegal factories&#8221; are common in Egypt. They aren\u2019t authorized, and they don&#8217;t pay taxes moreover their workers don&#8217;t enjoy social or health protection so these factories goods&#8217; price is so cheaper than the legal and authorized ones which decrease the legal factories&#8217; profits and cause their loss.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; color: #000000;\">The low competitiveness in the local and international markets because of several factors. it appears clearly when accessing to the Egyptian export structure where the Egyptian petroleum exports are about 48% of the Egyptian merchandise exports which values about 27 billion dollars in addition to Egypt signing on World Trade Organization agreements in 1995 moreover the cooperation agreement with the European Union that leads to the provision of cheaper and more qualified products than the Egyptian products, so some people moved towards trade instead of industry.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; color: #000000;\">From Mohammed Ali Pasha&#8217;s era and till now Egypt hasn&#8217;t created its own production lines moreover it imports several spares, so the Egyptian industry has been transformed into Assembly workshops as the import of equipment isn&#8217;t followed by developing them or merely reproducing them in Egypt. This appears clearly in the data of the Egyptian import structure where the investment goods import of equipment is fixed item in the annual merchandise imports. The Egyptian industry didn&#8217;t make use of the Southeast Asia Countries experience that has imported this technology, handled it perfectly, produced it and added to it its new inventions, so there aren\u2019t problems in the equipment which gave those countries price advantage enabled it to market their products abroad.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The lack of a strategy that indicates the fields which differ us and the lack of a clear objective.
