Project Description:
A plane consisted of Four Motors; Frame; Drives & CNC parts; Sensors; Bread boards; Arduino; Shield ; Blower. The plane is controlled remotely for pollination and moved from one palm to another for quicker performance, high accuracy, high-efficiency pollination and less effort.
The agriculture of date palms in Egypt and in the Gulf countries is one of the most important strategic activities for its great financial return. The date palm head management is one of the most important operations that needs great effort including climbing to the palm head, hence came the idea of finding an easy and simple method for that purpose. a scheme of the operations done in the palm head was developed. It is found that the palm head needs the following operations: collecting pollen grains – making pollination process – Pruning – insecticide spraying and fertilizing.
The most difficult process is pollination, so a simple invention was developed which is Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Pollinating date palms; it is made by 4 engines, tire, control circuit and pollen grains tank opened and closed with remote control. The programming is conducting through Arduino.
The general objective of the project:
- Doing the agricultural operations as quickly as possible
- Raising the efficiency of agricultural operations like pollination process.
- Save effort.
- Provide a product with a local component.
- Exporting the product all over the world.
Targeted stakeholders:
farmers – date palm farms owners – agricultural engineers –persons with obsolete jobs
